TheISG, Information Services Group, Data Solutions organizationaims to support Citi on its journey to adopt a data driven culture by delivering innovative technology solutions and simplifying access to quality data and business intelligence. The ISG organization works in partnership with data clients across Citi business lines deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data. This role is part of Reference Data Management group in ISG Data Solutions.
This Business Analyst is a Junior Level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Team Overview:
This Execution BA Team works on a global strategic technology platform – Global Corporate Action Event Repository. Major Tasks Involve – Processing Vendor Data Feeds & Internal Upstream Client Data, Mapping Data, Analyzing and Researching Data, Working on Swift Messages, User Interface, Data Publishing to downstream client (via Cloud, custom publisher) as XML/ Reports, Rules & governance, Audit, Compliance. Coverage, Accuracy and Timeliness of Information are the key drivers. Client and User Requirements drives the Product Roadmap. Team is spread around globally in multiple locations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create Functional Requirements & User Stories after capturing Business Requirements
- Data Mining and Transformation
- Documentation and User Training
- Validation and Testing in collaboration with Dev/QA/Operations
- Work closely with Vendors, IT, PM, Operations partners and Stakeholders
- Prioritise Effectively while under pressure, to produce high quality work
- Develop Interfaces – Web GUI / API
Qualifications:
- Understanding of Reference Data, Systems Integration and Data Cleansing with excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications as well as test scripts
- Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modelling concepts, business systems development and analysis
- Proven interpersonal, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills, with self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- 1-5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor\’s degree/University degree
