Job Title: Business Development Manager (North)

Vector Corrosion Technologies is currently looking to recruit a Regional Business Development Manager to support the UK operation in the North of Britain. Ideally located in Scotland, the successful candidate will report directly to the European Sales Manager (ESM) and will be responsible for a range of activities, including but not limited to,

Business Development

  • Identify and develop new project sales opportunities within their territory by contacting owners, engineers, and other industry professionals.

Marketing and Sales

  • Market corrosion technologies and services within the Northern territory.
  • Maintain a territory base of contacts and opportunities within the company CRM.
  • Develop innovative solutions and strategies for client problems.

Technical Support and Site Visits

  • Conduct site visits to inspect, evaluate, and estimate client projects.
  • Prepare and submit proposals.
  • Assist clients in the successful performance of field projects.

Alliance Support

  • Support the Vector alliance with SIKA through joint sales calls and the development of new business opportunities.
  • Promote the Vector Group as a worldwide solutions provider for concrete durability and corrosion problems.

Location: Working from home with office facilities in Glasgow

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record in specification sales with knowledge and experience in selling long sales cycle projects.
  • Relevant industry experience in: Construction sales, material sales, technical / specification selling to engineers, owners, and contractors.
  • Conduct research to identify and pursue new customers and new markets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship-building abilities
  • A solid work ethic
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel and must hold a valid driver’s license free of any major incidents
