About the Role
Supply Teach is seeking compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting schools across Derby. This role focuses on working with students, particularly those with special educational needs such as autism, to help them thrive in an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support teachers in planning and delivering tailored educational activities.
  2. Provide one-on-one assistance to students with autism and additional needs, ensuring active participation in classroom activities.
  3. Conduct targeted support sessions to reinforce learning concepts.
  4. Communicate effectively with teachers and staff regarding student progress and areas of concern.
  5. Foster social, emotional, and academic development through mentoring and encouragement.
  6. Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
  7. Prepare classroom resources and materials to support learning.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other special educational needs, is highly desirable.
  2. A background in education, tutoring, or a related field is a bonus.
  3. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with students, teachers, and school staff.
