We are seeking a highly motivated Fabrication Supervisor to join our clients team in Dyce, Aberdeen. This is a full-time, on-site role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fabrication function within the business.

You will play a key role in estimating and quoting projects, ensuring quality control, managing material purchasing, supervising workshop personnel, and coordinating production activities to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Estimating and quoting fabrication scopes, including materials, man hours, and hire equipment.
  • Collaborating with the Sales Team to identify and respond to opportunities, preparing tenders, bids, and quotations.
  • Assisting in creating detailed work packs including technical drawings, work orders, BOMs, ITPs, and work instructions.
  • Participating in steel equipment inspections for corrosion, damage, and compliance.
  • Ensuring quality control of fabricated items moving through the business.
  • Identifying challenges in projects and work with operations/engineering teams to develop solutions.
  • Supervising workshop personnel to maintain continuous production.
  • Coordinating with operations and services teams for smooth workshop operations.
  • Maintaining accurate project folders, databases, and reporting in line with accredited QMS.

Applicants to this role require

  • Proven experience in fabrication (essential) and quality control.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and mechanical engineering.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly motivated with a proactive approach to ownership and development.
  • Clean and valid driving licence.
