City Elite are delighted to be assisting our long term Client, an international Bank based in The City, in their search for a Credit Analyst.
The purpose of this role is to provide quality recommendations on credit applications for both FIs and Corporates clients.
Duties:

Assess the credit risk and financial strength of the firm’s borrowers and counterparts by performing fundamental credit analysis using both quantitative and qualitative factors.

Review lending underwriting transactions, determine risk appetite and credit ratings, having developed an independent view of cash flow projections and of key documentation protection.

Perform sector analysis to assess portfolio concentrations or trends.

Responsibility for annual reviews and business requests.

Monitoring the portfolio and identify trends and risks.

Ensure adherence to IFRS9 guidelines as part of credit review process.

Perform Climate Risk assessment in the context of credit review

Support the Deputy Head of Credit and Head of Credit in risk-related special tasks and projects.

Knowledge of banking industry products/services including Trade Finance, Receivable/Payable Financing, Asset Backed Finance (Real Estate Residential, Commercial etc.) , Project Finance etc.

Risk Management Framework – Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk and Regulatory Risk.

Financial Modeling.

Desirable – exposure/experience in relevant Corporate credit (including Commodity Finance and Real Estate) and FI (both Banks and Insurance) credit.

Knowledge/experience of GCC and MENA markets, including a good understanding of the FI and corporate clients, economic sectors, macro-economic factors, and related country risks within the region is a benefit., * Credit Analysis
