Purpose of Role
We are recruiting for an Assistant Facilities Manager to support the delivery of hard FM services at RAF Odiham near Basingstoke.
Job Description
This is a key operational role supporting the Site Facilities Manager(s) in the efficient day-to-day management of the site. You will play a crucial part in overseeing the helpdesk, managing reactive and planned works through the CAFM system (Maximo), liaising with subcontractors, and assisting with compliance and reporting requirements. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with facilities or operational experience to progress toward a full Facilities Manager role in the future.
Responsibilities
• Support the Site Facilities Manager(s) in daily operations and client delivery
• Manage the CAFM system (Maximo), including logging and tracking PPM/reactive works
• Liaise with engineers and subcontractors, resolving issues and processing paperwork
• Monitor and support compliance tasks and documentation
• Assist with internal and client reporting
• Attend meetings and provide minutes when required
• Provide additional support to senior management as needed
Essential Qualifications/Skills
• Previous administration or FM coordination experience
• A strong interest in facilities or property operations
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience with CAFM systems (Maximo desirable)
• Proficient IT skills (Excel, Word, etc.) and ability to learn bespoke systems
