The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical expertise, commercial understanding, and excellent communication skills to support our continued growth.
- Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret and evaluate client specifications, drawings, and tender documentation to develop accurate cost estimates for electrical works.
- Collaborate with internal design and project delivery teams to support bids, proposals, and value-engineered solutions.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations, ensuring best value and technical compliance.
- Assess risk, timescales, and resource requirements for each bid in line with project demands and company standards.
- Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits when required to gather accurate site-specific information.
- Assist with pricing schedules, tender breakdowns, and supporting documentation for submission.
- Ensure all tender submissions are delivered to required deadlines with high levels of accuracy and professionalism.
- Provide handover support to project teams, ensuring the smooth transition from tender stage to project execution.
- RequirementsProven experience in an electrical estimating role, preferably within the utilities, water, or process sectors.
- Sound understanding of electrical systems, control panel specifications, and industrial installation requirements.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail in both pricing and documentation.
- Clear and professional communication skills, able to work collaboratively with clients, engineers, and supply chain partners.
- Proficiency with estimating software; knowledge of Trimble (Amtech), AutoCAD, or Relux is beneficial but not essential.
