My client is recruiting for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join their team in Sheffield. This role will primarily provide legal and admin support for residential conveyancing, both on sale and purchase matters and will involve liaising with clients via telephone, and in writing, drafting confidential documents, and other ad-hoc tasks as required. My client is established and continuously recognised as one of the UK’s leading law firms. Knowledge of the Land Registry and basic requirements for registrations and SDLT is desirable. Skills & Experience : • Minimum prior work experience of 1 year plus in a Residential Property team is essential.• Ability to work effectively within a team but also work autonomously with some supervision.• Microsoft Office including Word and Excel is essential. • Good English, grammar and spelling• Numerical skills • Excellent communication skills – experience in dealing with clients via telephone and face-to-face is essential.• Ability to organise and prioritise workload within the required timescales. • Ability to work under pressure as and when required (this may involve some flexibility in working hours). • Confidence in using a case management system.
