Job Description

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 + Overtime & Shift AllowanceHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (39 hours/week)Location: WolverhamptonHolidays: 25 Days + Bank HolidaysCallout: Rota with out-of-hours cover (Evenings/Weekends)Benefits: Pension (3%/5%), Life Assurance (x3 salary),

The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our engineering team. This is a hands-on role covering both planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of plant and equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment

  • Inspect, test, repair, and refurbish plant machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations

  • Use CMMS daily for task tracking and documentation

  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency

  • Supervise contractors and visitors when required

  • Provide out-of-hours support on a rotational basis

  • Support production and other departments with engineering solutions

Technical Requirements:

  • Experience with electrical installations, including AC motors, inverters, drives, relays, single and 3-phase systems

  • Confident with fault finding on PLC systems (basic), overhead cranes, belts, chains, and bearings

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Electrical qualification to Level 2 or equivalent installation course (not just 18th edition)

  • Demonstrable experience with complex fault finding

  • Industry background open

  • Comfortable reading and interpreting electrical drawings
