We have a great opportunity for someone with base line experience within Procurement, who is looking for an opportunity to grow and be mentored to develop into a capable Buyer. You will be working as part of a procurement team where you will be given an allocated category to look after and oversee. This is a new role to the business, so the incoming Buyer has a great opportunity to really shape and bring together the purchasing activities within their assigned category. The Buyer will be responsible for: * Source and manage suppliers across spend categories * Negotiate contracts and SLAs to drive cost savings and ensure service excellence * Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement with operational needs * Monitor supplier performance and resolve service issues to maintain continuity * Lead RFQs and competitive bidding processes to support strategic sourcing initiatives Skills and Experience required: * Previous experience within a Purchasing role either as a Purchasing Assistant / Assistant Buyer / Buyer / Procurement officer / Purchasing Executive * Familiar with procurement processes including raising and managing purchase orders within an MRP or ERP system * Confident gathering and analysing supplier and procurement data to support sourcing decisions * Liaised with suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm lead times, and resolve basic service or delivery issues * Worked cross-functionally with departments such as manufacturing, Facilities, IT, and HR to understand purchasing needs * Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across teams and support procurement initiatives The application process: We will carefully consider your details and advise you if we\’re able to progress with your application within 72 working hours.
