Internal Audit Lead – Data, AI & Analytics– Top 10 FirmCity of London £89,000 to £100,000
Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a top 10 accounting firm based in London that are eager to recruit an Internal Audit Lead – Data, AI & Analytics to support their Internal Audit team. This senior role will see you shape and deliver AI assurance and data analytics audits, acting as a subject matter expert across diverse client engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audit engagements covering data management, AI, and analytics, delivering assurance services to clients across multiple sectors.
- Provide expert advisory support, designing and implementing tailored data and AI governance frameworks to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Develop and embed governance standards, including policies, controls, quality measures, data lineage, and metadata management.
- Contribute to the growth of the practice, helping to create new service offerings aligned with client demand, industry developments, legal requirements, and emerging technologies.
- Drive business development in the financial services sector, building strong client relationships and developing bespoke solutions that address strategic needs.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in data management, AI, and data analytics within an internal audit capacity in consultancy or financial services.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience in; data management and governance frameworks, AI assurance, including data quality, data lineage, regulatory reporting, AI models, and metadata management
- Track record of driving sales and business development activities within the financial services sector.
Desirable Skills (nice to have but not essential):
- Recognised data or AI qualification (e.g. CDMC, DAMA, DCAM, ISACA).
- Familiarity with key data and AI platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica, AWS).
- Experience implementing and refining data/AI analytics tools to automate internal audit processes.
- Proficiency in analytics tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Databricks, Snowflake, SQL, or similar.
