Job Description
Bid Writer
Location: Farnborough (other working location potential availble) Hybrid working.
Rate: £1000 per day via an umbrella company
Length: 6 weeks

*CANDIDATES MUST HOLD ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE*
- Working with the Bid Manager, modifies bid-writing briefings for the different phases of the bid (Kick-off Meeting, Storyboard Briefs [workshop and writing], Writing Brief)
- Structures response outline that sign-posts highlights markers/reviewers to relevant information (Win Themes statements, Requirements, CDRLs, compliance Matrix etc.)
- Works with Technical Lead to identify any gaps or duplication between individual responses, for a coherent approach
- Guides authors in 'Answering the Question' – adding relevant content to the prescribed response outline
- Supports Bid Manager in tracking, chasing and supporting author progress for each key review stage (Pink Team, Red Team and Gold Team reviews)
- Records agreed reviewer comments from Pink Team review, working with authors to address the comments, before draft response writing.
- Supports author with word and/or page count reduction (where required) and fixes grammar, spelling and formatting
- Supports the Gold Team with reviewing, editing and polishing as required, to produce a flawless submission.
