Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Poultry (Day & Night Shifts)

The role is based at our UK Poultry site in Sandycroft and will consist of 12-hour day and night shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotation pattern.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be working closely with the Engineering Team within our Poultry division and carry out daily mechanical maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out in line with appropriate Health & Safety instructions and site policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily mechanical maintenance on machinery and production equipment
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations using Safe Systems of Work
  • Work within a fast-paced environment covering all mechanical engineering maintenance activities.

About You

You will have a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 and hands-on experience in any Mechanical Engineering discipline.

Key Skills

  • Hands-on experience in industrial mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge and understanding of mechanical maintenance
  • Background in welding, fabrication, and tool making (desirable)
  • Experience within the food industry, manufacturing, machinery, or automation preferred but not essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
