Interim Management Accountant | £45,000-£55,000 pro rata | Bristol (Hybrid 2-3 days) | 6-month fixed-term contract
Our client needs an Interim Management Accountant to steady the ship during a busy period of change. This 6-month fixed-term contract is all about keeping month-end and year-end on track while the permanent team focuses on a finance system migration. If you\’re confident with management accounts, reconciliations and tight deadlines, you\’ll make a visible difference quickly.

How you\’ll make an impact

Produce monthly management accounts with clear first-draft commentary

Complete balance sheet reconciliations and keep month-end close running to time

Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve variances promptly

Support year-end close, including reconciliations and audit-ready deliverables

Deliver accurate performance analysis to help stakeholders make decisions

Submit monthly ONS returns and respond to ad hoc finance queries

Work closely with the permanent Management Accountant to protect capacity during the system migration
Why you\’re a great fit
Essential
-
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)

Strong hands-on month-end and year-end close experience

Confident producing management accounts, reconciliations and commentary

Previous experience using Sage 50

Comfortable working with stakeholders at different levels across the business
Desirable

Experience supporting a finance system change or migration

Able to pick things up quickly and work calmly through ambiguity
