Job Description
Quest Search & Selection are proud to partner with a multi-site, B2C consumer business.
The role of buyer you will support the development, sourcing, and delivery of commercially successful range. To ensures ranges that are created and executed in line with brand vision and strategic goals.
Duties & Responsibilities for this Buyer:
- Develop and deliver a commercially balanced product range, aligned with company margin targets.
- Lead regular cross-functional product reviews, ensuring consistency in trends, aesthetics, and colour palettes across departments.
- Manages a structured and timely product sign-off process, aligned with the critical path and planning cycles.
- Owns the critical path, ensuring all deadlines are met; proactively identifies issues and implements effective action plans.
- Conducts in-depth sales analysis to identify top-performing products, enabling data-driven decisions and informed recommendations for future buys and product development.
- Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best products, pricing, and contractual terms, leveraging supplier expertise to enhance the range and internal knowledge.
- Collaborate across departments to support the successful launch of new products, seasonal collections, and wider company initiatives.
- Partners closely with the merchandising team to monitor and optimise trading performance, ensuring stock turn, margin, and profitability targets are achieved.
To be successful in this Buyer:
- Ideally having experience as a Buyer within fashion sector.
- Experienced in negotiating with suppliers to secure the best value, cost prices, and lead times.
- Demonstrated success in developing and trading highly commercial fashion ranges that surpass sales and profit targets.
- In-depth knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and the entire buying process, with a keen eye for print design.
- Passionate about trends and skilled at driving innovation and newness in a fast-paced environment.
