We are working closely alongside with Southern Housing to assist with the appointment of an Estate Services Cleaner, on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.50 – £15.86 per hour
Summary:
Southern Housing is seeking an experienced and reliable Estate Services Cleaner to join the team responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the communal areas of social housing properties. Working as part of a team, you will contribute to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. This is a mobile role covering multiple sites across the Isle of Wight transport will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning of communal areas, pathways, stairwells, bin stores, and outdoor spaces.
- Litter picking and removal of fly-tipped items as required.
- Report any health and safety hazards, maintenance issues, or anti-social behaviour to the appropriate authority.
- Ensure bins and refuse areas are clean, tidy, and accessible.
- Support bulk refuse collections, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a commercial or estate cleaning role is essential.
- Good awareness of health and safety standards and safe cleaning practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible, reliable, and physically capable of undertaking manual labour.
- Willingness to travel across sites (transport provided by employer).
