The Opportunity
Verus Recruitment Partners are excited to be representing a leading engineering business in their search for a CNC Programmer for a variety of cutting and Press break machinery. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual to join a growing team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and quality in their production processes.
The Role
As a Cutting and Press brake programmer, you will be responsible for programming a variety of on-site CNC machines, including 3D Waterjet, Flame cutting, and Press Brake equipment. Training will be provided for programming Laser, Flame, and Waterjet machines if not already proficient. Your role will involve collaborating with sales staff to confirm orders and ensure efficient production through effective nesting and time planning.
You will:
- Programme Bystronic Press Brake operations.
- Programme WJS 3D Waterjet machinery.
- Programme Flame cutting machinery.
- Ensure efficient part nesting for maximum material yield.
- Support and resolve technical queries for customers in collaboration with the sales team.
- Manage job orders and process scheduling.
- Identify and implement improvements to production processes.
- Maintain proactive and efficient time management and organisational skills.
The Candidate
We are looking for a candidate with the following attributes:
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- The ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Good Maths and English skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- CAD experience with the ability to read and produce technical drawings.
- Experience programming cutting machines (Laser, Flame, Waterjet) and press brakes.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of Bystronic, Trumpf, and Waterjet Sweden software is advantageous.
A willingness to learn new skills is key, as full training will be provided. We value attitude and motivation as highly as experience.
Working Location
The role is based in Sheffield, near Meadowhall and the M1. This location is easily commutable from Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, and surrounding areas.
