Job Title: P6 Planner Engagement Type: PAYE (On-Payroll) Location: Reading (3-4 days on-site per week) Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6-12 months Working Pattern: 9-day fortnight (alternating 5-day and 4-day weeks) Hourly Rate: £60 per hour (inclusive of base location expenses) Security Clearance: Candidates must be eligible to obtain high-level security clearance Industry Experience Required: Nuclear, engineering, or similarly high-hazard, highly regulated environments. Role Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced P6 Planner to join a high-performing project team on a long-term contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the planning function across multiple complex projects within a highly regulated sector. Key Responsibilities: Deliver planning and earned value management (EVM) expertise to support effective project control and decision-making. Produce accurate and timely schedule forecasts and project performance reports. Conduct schedule performance variance analysis, particularly focusing on SPI (Schedule Performance Index). Collaborate with project controls and planning leads to support both routine and emergent planning needs. Ensure planning deliverables are aligned with the project\’s business rhythm and reporting cycles. Develop and maintain integrated project plans in alignment with project requirements and strategic objectives. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the refinement of planning processes, tools, templates, and training. Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure planning solutions are well-integrated and clearly communicated. Promote and maintain high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality. Candidate Requirements: Proven experience working in a high-hazard or highly regulated environment (e.g., nuclear, engineering, infrastructure). Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential. Strong understanding of project controls, EVM, and planning methodologies. Ability to interpret and influence Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) in collaboration with control managers.
