*Overview*
We are seeking a compassionate , experienced and dedicated Nurse / Healthcare Assistant to join our family. In this role, you will provide essential support to our disabled daughter, ensuring she is comfortable & monitored throughout the night (from 9pm-7am).
*Responsibilities*
* Assisting our daughter with medication, peg feeds, suctioning, personal hygiene, dressing, and aiding her to get a good nights sleep.
* Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to parents.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the family home ensuring a safe environment.
* Adhering to all safety protocols.
* Participate in care planning and contribute to the overall health management of our daughter and our life.
*Experience*
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting is essential; individual training will be given for our daughter.
* A solid understanding of brain injury, cerebral palsy, dystonia, peg feeding, & respiratory nursing and practices is advantageous.
* Experience of working alongside non-verbal disabled children is highly beneficial.
* Knowledge of basic anatomy is critical for effective communication with medical staff and understanding patient needs.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with our daughter, families, and colleagues.
* A caring attitude towards patients and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
