Job Description
Head of IT – London – £85k to £100k
An Infrastructure Manager or Senior Systems Engineer is required by a growing investment management business to head up their IT function. You will either have managed an IT environment or worked very closely with someone who has done so and be ready to take the step up.
The role involves analysing the current environment – network, hardware, applications, security etc – and agreeing an effective strategy with the C-Suite to enable the business to move forward more efficiently and also to grow organically and through acquisition.
There are four country offices on two continents so ongoing international travel will be required to assess the current situation, build relationships, and design and implement a solution that fits all locations.
You will need experience in:
- Designing and implementing IT strategy internationally
- Navigating regulatory environments in different jurisdictions
- Managing outsourced partners
- Cloud and hybrid infrastructure experience
- Knowledge and experience of cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance in a financial services environment
- IT automation
- Workflow digitization
You will also need to have worked in a wealth management or investment management environment.
This is a great role that will allow the right person to take a step up and put their stamp on a business. You need to be someone who is comfortable in the weeds and is user-focused but can also see the bigger picture and plot an IT strategy to deliver the organisation’s priorities.
