Job Description:

As a global critical financial infrastructure, the protection of Euroclear’s information and assets is essential to our business. Security is at the core of our services and is deeply embedded in our management systems and processes.

You will join our Group Technology Services (GTS) division as a member of the Patch Orchestration Team (Vulture Team). In this role, you will play a key part in protecting our digital assets by reporting and coordinating remediation activities for identified vulnerabilities and weaknesses across a wide range of IT technologies. This proactive approach helps us stay ahead of potential cyber threats and continuously strengthen our defenses.

We are looking for a motivated Microsoft SQL Server Database Specialist to manage the Patch Orchestration Database system. This system consolidates information on detected vulnerabilities and weaknesses to support remediation efforts.

Responsibilities:

Data Logic & SQL Development:

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support security reporting and dashboards.
  • Build data models and logic that align vulnerability findings with the correct asset and owner.
  • Improve attribution accuracy by enhancing business logic and mapping tables.

SQL Server Management:

  • Maintain, monitor, and optimize SQL Server environments.
  • Apply indexing strategies, query tuning, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure adherence to database security, backup, and recovery policies.

Reporting & Data Support:

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity analysts to understand data and reporting needs.
  • Deliver well-structured datasets for Power BI dashboards and Excel reports.
  • Support troubleshooting of data quality, report accuracy, and dashboard performance.

Version Control & Change Management:

  • Use version control tools (., Git) to manage SQL scripts, procedures, and schemas.
  • Document changes to database logic, schema updates, and data processing pipelines.
  • Follow structured change management practices for production deployments.
  • Act as a liaison between security, data, and IT infrastructure teams.
  • Participate in data validation and cross-team debugging.
  • Recommend improvements to data models, architecture, and automation processes.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server, including performance tuning and job scheduling.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for SQL data normalization, joins, and transformation logic.
  • Experience using Git or similar version control systems for managing SQL code.
  • Strong focus on data integrity, completeness, and consistency.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management data (., CVEs, CVSS, asset mapping) or experience supporting cybersecurity teams is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Power BI data modeling or support experience is a plus.
