We are currently seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team as Adults Social Workers, Senior Social Workers, and Advanced Social Workers across multiple teams.

Role Overview:

As an Adults Social Worker/Senior Social Worker/Advanced Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential support and assistance to vulnerable adults within our community. Working within various teams, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, creating care plans, and implementing interventions to safeguard and promote the welfare of adults in need. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, and service users to ensure the provision of person-centred care and support services.

  • Your pay will increase annually within the pay band, aligned with the national agreed framework for local government workers, ensuring a reliable and competitive salary for security and stability.
  • We offer a generous contribution to your pension fund each month, exceeding industry standards, providing a secure, Government-backed, guaranteed income upon retirement.
  • Enjoy a generous holiday allowance ranging from 22 to 32 days, based on your grade and tenure, inclusive of bank holidays and additional concessionary days annually.

Health and Well-being:

  • Receive full salary support for up to 6 months in case of sickness, followed by half-pay for an additional 6 months, subject to length of service and procedural requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users’ needs, risks, and strengths.
  • Develop and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing support and intervention to individuals to enhance their independence and well-being.
  • Monitor and review care plans regularly to ensure they remain responsive to service users’ evolving needs.
  • Liaise with external agencies, healthcare professionals, and community resources to coordinate holistic support for service users.
  • Safeguard vulnerable adults by identifying and responding to safeguarding concerns in line with statutory regulations and council policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interventions, assessments, and case notes in accordance with professional standards and data protection regulations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification recognised by Social Work England.
  • Registration with Social Work England as a Social Worker.
  • Previous experience working in adult social care settings, preferably within a local authority context.
  • Strong assessment and case management skills, with the ability to formulate and implement effective care plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with service users and stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing adult social care and safeguarding.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to professional standards of practice.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with external partners to deliver integrated care and support services.
