Tooling Engineer – Sittingbourne £38,000-£46,000 | Depending on experience 22 days holiday + BH | Bonuses | Employee Assistance Program A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Tooling Engineer to join a UK known drain manufacturer in the Dartford area! With no day ever being the same the Tooling Engineer will be working within an exciting and innovative industry that offers genuine long term progression. Role & Responsibilities: Conduct routine tooling maintenance as required to ensure maximum uptime of injection moulds. Undertake troubleshooting and carry out repairs on injection moulds. Diagnose tooling faults and identify appropriate methods of repair. Use of machine tools as appropriate. To make tools which are fit for purpose for the engineering team, as well as performing tool maintenance activities. Hands-on mould toolmaking, jigs and fixtures and conventional machining techniques such as lathe work, surface grinding, milling work, and spark erosion. Read and interpret engineering drawings. Completion and maintenance of appropriate records. To undertake any other activities requested by the Injection Moulding Tooling & Maintenance Manager or Team Leader, deemed to be within the capabilities of the Tooling Engineer.Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Apprentice served or professionally qualified Tool maker/Engineer/Technician. In-depth machining background (Turning, Milling, Grinding, Spark erosion). Technical knowledge of the injection moulding process. Ability to diagnose and fix tooling-related production issues. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
