Production Maintenance Engineer – Injection Moulding- Sittingbourne £32,000-£41,000 | Depending on experience 22 days holiday + BH | Bonuses | Employee Assistance Program A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Maintenance Engineer to join a UK known drain manufacturer in the Sittingbourne area! With no day ever being the same the Production Maintenance Engineer will be working within an exciting and innovative industry that offers genuine long term progression. Role & Responsibilities: o Maintain all ancillary equipment and conveyors in the Injection Moulding and Regrind departments. o Troubleshoot machine malfunctions. o Develop a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) plan and ensure the timely completion of work carried out. o Monitor equipment performance and maintain detailed maintenance records for each machine. o Organize the receipt, identification and appropriate storage of engineering materials/spares. o Ensure that a stock of essential spare parts is maintained on site to reduce downtime caused by breakdowns. o Update records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores and to pass instructions on between shifts. o Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal departments in finding ways to improve processes and increase machine reliability and performance. o Support with general site maintenance and oversee site contractors working in the Injection Moulding department. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Recognised Engineering apprenticeship / HNC. Multi skilled in both mechanical and electrical engineering. Minimum 3 years experience of working as part of a maintenance team. Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
