Are you a skilled maintenance professional with a passion for delivering high quality repairs? We’re looking for a Repairs Officer (DLO) to lead a large trade team and ensure homes are maintained to the highest standards. This is a hands on, field based role where your leadership and technical expertise will make a real impact on residents lives.

About the Role:
As a Repairs Officer, you’ll oversee a team of tradespeople, managing daily operations, monitoring works, and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to excellent standards. You’ll conduct surveys, authorise works, liaise with contractors, and drive continuous improvement across the repairs service. Your leadership will help create safe, well maintained homes that residents can be proud of.

What You’ll Do:

* Lead and manage a high performing DLO trades team.

* Deliver a safe, timely, and cost effective repairs service.

* Conduct surveys and specify works, including adaptations and insurance related repairs.

* Manage budgets, monitor performance, and ensure value for money.

* Oversee contractors and carry out inspections to maintain quality standards.

* Resolve complaints and issues with confidence and professionalism.

* Promote a culture of health, safety, and continuous improvement across the team.

What We’re Looking For:

* Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise a reactive workload.

* Excellent communicator with sound commercial judgement.

* Experience managing repairs or voids services with high customer satisfaction.

* Experience leading and motivating a multi-disciplinary team.

* Relevant qualifications such as HND in Building Construction/Surveying, or professional membership (e.g., CIOB, RICS).

* NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification.

* Full UK driving license and ability to use a vehicle for business purposes.
