High-Tech manufacturing business requires a Buyer. Applicants need procurement experience within a high-tech environment, MRP/ERP skills and previous exposure to electronics components and electronics, PCBA procurement is advantageous.

The Buyer will offer end-to-end procurement and supply chain service to the business, reporting into a Supply Chain Manager. Responsible for both operational (OTD/OTIF) and strategic (negotiation and supplier management tasks), the Buyer will also support across stock control and dispatch.

Specific duties of the Buyer include:

Oversee purchasing process; identifying needs, negotiating with suppliers and placing orders
Monitoring stock and inventory levels in company MRP/ERP system
Supplier Relationship Management with critical supply chain partners
Ensure continuity of supply to the facility
Stakeholder partnering with; design, quality and engineering
Support Stores, goods-in/goods out and logistics

Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

Experience working in a high-tech manufacturing or engineering environment
Buyer experience, or if strong in electronic components, PCBA or electronic hardware applicants from a technical background can be considered
MRP/ERP experience
An understanding of stock control
Detailed and analytical – competent in MS Excel
