The Job Mission
You will join the Joint Design Office onsite, supporting the engineering layout team. Your role is to assess and manage site-driven design changes, ensuring technical integrity across disciplines. Collaborating closely with construction and design offices, your input will directly influence the efficiency of plant installation.
- Assess if site changes impact plant layout and design intent
- Analyse multidisciplinary impacts and provide well-justified technical solutions
- Liaise with HVAC, piping, electrical and civil teams on interface issues
- Propose layout modifications in 3D models, with CAD team support
- Ensure alignment with installation tolerances and design documentation
- Engage with RD Back-Offices, NNB and contractors to deliver agreed changes
- Monitor, track and report layout modifications in line with the change process
- Capture lessons learnt and contribute to technical discussions in layout team
Qualifications
Essential:
- Degree-qualified with years of engineering experience
- Skilled in 3D model software, particularly Navisworks
- Strong understanding of plant layout and installation rules
- Familiarity with nuclear site safety and operational considerations
- Experience with 3D model reviews for layout impact
- Confident using Microsoft Office tools
- Fluent in spoken and written English
Desired:
- Experience in plant layout coordination or design
- Familiarity with UK nuclear regulatory standards
- French language skills
- Proficiency with additional CAD and 2D software
