We are hiring for a Senior Technical Manager or Senior Design Manager to lead on a 200m high-rise, mixed-used scheme in London. Managing a small team and leading the project from inception through to completion you will be joining a leading London developer who portfolio ranges from student accommodation to prime residential tower blocks!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Technical Coordinators/Managers and external consultants to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide strategic input into planning design and guide the optimisation process through to approval.
- Supervise the design team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality production information.
- Collaborate closely with Land and Planning, as well as Sales and Marketing teams, to develop technical specifications.
- Prepare and present the Pre-Contract Programme to stakeholders.
- Oversee the timely submission and follow-up of statutory queries and applications (NHBC, LABC, Building Regulations).
- Conduct regular site inspections, focusing on Health & Safety compliance and reporting.
- Liaise with the Commercial team to maintain budget adherence and cost controls.
- Attend and lead various project meetings, ensuring effective coordination with internal and external parties.
- Proactively resolve technical and construction challenges as they arise.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in delivering medium to high-rise residential developments.
- In-depth knowledge of building regulations, environmental standards, and relevant legislation.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Construction, Architecture, or Engineering.
