Overview
Our client, a leading provider of business services and workplace solutions based in Ashton-under-Lyne, is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to join their IT department.
As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will be based in the office full time.
Responsibilities
Day to day service availability and maintenance of all IT infrastructure services.
Managing the deliverables of the IT Infrastructure team.
Evaluating services, planning, and managing their improvement.
Training and development of direct reports.
Upkeep of comms rooms and services securing their power.
Overseeing associated security services (firewalls, pen testing, compliance updates).
Planning and running team meetings and workshops.
Participating in and acting as an escalation point for out-of-hours support.
Ensuring that infrastructure cover is always available, including shift and out-of-hours rota.
Experience / Qualifications
Professional IT qualifications in IT Infrastructure fields with significant IT work experience as an IT Engineer / Administrator.
IT team leadership experience or suitable management training / certifications.
Academic achievement to at least A Level standard; degree level preferred.
Full UK driving licence.
Technical / Management knowledge
Microsoft Cloud services (Azure / AD / O365).
Wide Area Network solutions.
Operating systems (primarily Windows Server 2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022).
Hardware – server, SAN, switches & wireless.
Microsoft services (AD / GP / DNS / DHCP / DFS / RDS / NPS).
Dynamics 365 printing services.
