Role Overview
We are seeking a dependable and organized Materials & Inventory Coordinator to manage stock control, material distribution, and the efficient operation of the stores function. This hands-on role supports both workshop and on-site operations, ensuring materials are available to meet project demands.

Main Duties

  1. Accept, check, and record all deliveries; maintain accurate stock records
  2. Ensure correct storage, labeling, and organization of materials
  3. Allocate items to active projects and notify relevant teams upon receipt
  4. Prepare outgoing goods and arrange transport as needed
  5. Maintain a clean and orderly workshop and yard environment
  6. Operate forklift equipment for loading/unloading (training provided if needed)
  7. Liaise with suppliers regarding collections, deliveries, and schedules
  8. Support the implementation of lean stock control systems, including Kanban methods
  9. Adhere to all health, safety, and quality standards at all times

Essential Criteria

  1. Experience in a stores, warehouse, or materials handling role
  2. Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities
  3. Valid forklift license (or willingness to undergo training)
  4. IT literacy with experience using inventory software and Microsoft Office
  5. Full UK driving license
  6. Familiarity with engineering or construction materials is advantageous
