GSL Education are looking to recruit adaptable and confident Cover Supervisors to work in schools in Dunscroft. This role is perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking for flexible classroom-based work.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will step in during teacher absences to supervise pre-set lessons and ensure students remain on task.
Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure classroom order.
- Manage student behaviour in line with school policies.
- Provide feedback to the teaching staff regarding student progress and conduct.
- Promote a positive learning environment and encourage student engagement.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
- Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Confidence to lead and engage a classroom independently.
- A degree or relevant qualification is desirable, but not essential.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
- A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
