We have an exciting opportunity for a Controls Engineer to join us at Honeywell, where you will be responsible for producing innovative, high quality software products for UK’s leading defence developments.

Key responsibilities
- Working to recognised industry standards to produce innovative, high quality software products for UK’s leading defence developments
- Working within a multi-disciplined team, utilising a variety of tools and programming languages, engaging in all aspects of the software development cycle
- Taking responsibility for your own and others work as well as providing technical assistance to support the development of junior members of the team
- Leading during assurance and review activities ensuring that all required configuration, release and documentation activities have been produced in accordance with the relevant standards
- Translate requirements into software designs, implement and test solutions, and manage integration, configuration, release, and deployment of the product
Key skills and qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering Instrumentation and/or Control Engineering, or related subject, or an equivalent qualification and experience.
- Experience with, or knowledge of, traditional PLC programming
- Experience or knowledge in SCADA systems
- Large distributed systems experience desirable
- Knowledge of PLC programming and environments
