We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining a high standard of service. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance. Responsibilities * Safely operate a van to transport goods to various locations. * Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to scheduled routes. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered. * Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes. * Assist in loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. * Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients upon delivery. * Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times. Qualifications * Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. * Valid commercial driving licence is required, with a clean driving record. * Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. * Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is a plus. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers. * Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping. * Ability to lift heavy items as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed during loading and unloading activities.
