My client is a rapidly growing fintech company revolutionising how UK businesses manage their cash flow by providing them with innovative and flexible loan solutions. Their mission is to empower SMEs by offering them the financial tools they need to grow and thrive, all backed by quick decisions and easy-to-use technology.
As they expand, they\’re looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to help scale their business by working closely with brokers to identify and close new lending opportunities.
As a Business Development Executive, you will be a key driver of the company\’s growth, responsible for building strong relationships with both new and existing brokers. You will identify and generate new lending opportunities, ensure seamless communication with stakeholders, and actively close deals. Your efforts will contribute directly to the success of our business and expand our reach in the market.
This is a hybrid working role with 3 days a week based in the office in the City of London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make warm calls to existing brokers, reminding them of their services and ensuring they start sending more deals.
- Reconnect with dormant brokers, reigniting interest and driving more deals.
- Hunt for new brokers to join their introducer network, building fresh relationships and growing the business.
- Build strong relationships with new and existing brokers via calls and online meetings.
- Develop a deep understanding of the company\’s offerings and effectively communicate how we add value to brokers and their clients.
- Be entrepreneurial in identifying new opportunities to grow your broker network and increase applications.
- Target driven role – you will be aiming to exceed sales targets consistently.
- You will be expected to hit new business KPIs and targets, constantly feeding the sales funnel and ensuring best chance at success.
Requirements:
- 1+ years\’ of experience in a sales or business development role, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with brokers.
- Problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Comfortable on the phone and email, with a willingness to make a high volume of calls.
- You’re driven, enthusiastic, and eager to learn about the lending market and the solutions.
- You’re motivated by targets and want to exceed expectations, not just meet them.
- You’ve got thick skin and can bounce back from rejection. You’ll make dozens of calls each day and never lose momentum.
- Self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial mindset – you know how to hustle and thrive in a startup.
