Port Plant Driver – Bulk Bagging
Location: Immingham Port
Hours: 12 hour shifts
Salary: £12.21 – £25 Paid per tonne – the more you bag, the more you earn. (Can be up to £25 per hour)
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Port Plant Driver/ Bagging operative to join our operations team at a busy bulk bagging terminal. This is a hands‑on role within a fast‑paced port environment, supporting the safe and efficient movement and bagging of bulk materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating port plant and mobile equipment (e.g. forklifts B2, loading shovels, loaders) within the bulk bagging terminal
- Loading, unloading, and moving bulk materials and bagged products
- Shovel driving loading hoppers with bulk material
- Assisting with bulk bagging operations, including positioning bags and monitoring filling processes
- Carrying out daily plant checks
- Assisting with clean‑down of plant and bagging units
- Working in accordance with site safety procedures, port regulations, and risk assessments
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the terminal
- Supporting other operational duties as required
Requirements
- If operating plant machinery you will require valid/ expired plant operator tickets (e.g. FLT, shovel, or equivalent)
- Valid UKDL
- Previous experience in a port, terminal, or industrial environment preferred
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends if required
- Good communication skills and a team‑focused attitude
Desirable
- Experience in bulk bagging or bulk cargo handling
