NRL’s design and build contractor is looking to recruit a Senior Planner to be based in Macclesfield on a permanent staff basis. About The Role: You will be joining one of the UK\’s largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. They support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions. What will you be doing? You will create and manage detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project, turning complex plans into clear, achievable steps. You will work closely with teams to assess resources, forecast timelines, track progress, and proactively solve delays. By liaising with engineers, managers, and stakeholders, you will ensure everyone’s aligned and informed. You\’ll analyse critical paths, update schedules, and generate helpful reports—including S-curves and productivity charts—to keep projects on track. Your approach will blend smart planning with collaboration to meet goals efficiently while maintaining quality, budget alignment, and timeline precision. What you\’ll bring: Experience in construction planning and scheduling Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools Strong understanding of construction methods, drawings, and documents Skilled in budgeting, cost control, and resource planning Analytical mindset with solid risk management and problem-solving skills Familiarity with BIM and large-scale infrastructure projects Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards Willingness to travel and work flexibly to meet project needs What’s in it for you?
