Job Title: Power BI Developer Location: Blackburn (3 days a week onsite) Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 Job Summary: My client, a business finance firm who have been running for nearly 50 years seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team and help transform raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing, deploying, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards. They should possess strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into effective data visualisations. Key Responsibilities: Develop, design, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports. Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements. Connect Power BI to various data sources and ensure data accuracy and integrity. Create DAX queries and calculations to optimize reporting capabilities. Implement row-level security (RLS) and data governance best practices. Optimize Power BI reports for performance and scalability. Maintain and support existing Power BI reports and troubleshoot issues as needed. Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and advancements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field. Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role. Strong proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling. Experience working with SQL databases and writing complex queries. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Familiarity with Azure services, Python, or R is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Power BI certification. Experience with cloud-based BI tools and data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Exposure to other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView.
