Infrastructure Engineer Role
As the Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, implement and support core IT infrastructure across physical and virtual environments. The role includes delivering infrastructure projects, troubleshooting technical issues, enhancing system reliability and maintaining robust documentation.
You will work both independently and as part of a wider technical team, contributing to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Infrastructure Engineer Essential Skills
- Strong background in system administration and infrastructure support
- Experience delivering IT infrastructure projects
- Networking expertise across vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, HP or Dell
- Understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
- Virtualisation experience (VMware or Hyper‑V)
- Scripting or automation experience using Python, PowerShell, Ansible or similar
- Administration experience across Microsoft or Linux environments
- Knowledge of backup technologies such as Veeam or NetBackup
- Strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills
