About The Role
The Process Technologist is responsible for managing the transition of concept-approved products into full-scale production. Working with a variety of cuisines, the role ensures customer requirements, product specifications, and food safety standards are met. You’ll play a key role in factory trials, pre-production activities, and launches, collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality results. This is 12 month Fixed Term Contract for maternity cover.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage factory trials, ensuring technical, safety, and legal compliance
- Lead pre-production and product launches to ensure smooth transitions to production
- Oversee customer quality panels, approvals, and quality contracts
- Collaborate on New Product Development (NPD), Existing Product Development (EPD), and Value Optimisation (VO) initiatives
- Balance factory work, administrative tasks, and sample preparation
About You
This role is perfect for a food enthusiast with a passion for product development, excellent organisation, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Key Requirements
- Some exposure to food process or manufacturing is essential — factory background preferred (e.g., roles from “Phoebe” upward)
- Strong organisation skills to manage multiple projects and timelines
- Detail-oriented, hands-on, and confident in cross-functional collaboration
- Qualified by experience or with formal technical qualifications — we’re open to both
Working Hours
- Core hours: 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday
- Flexibility required for occasional weekend and night shifts during product launches
