Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join a skilled and collaborative engineering team developing cutting-edge products for the defence sector. You’ll translate complex system requirements into innovative electronic designs, ensuring successful customer acceptance on time and within budget. What you’ll do:

  • Lead the architectural and detailed design of electronics solutions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to create successful design outcomes.
  • Ensure designs are optimised for manufacture, test, and smooth transition to production.
  • Support system integration, including troubleshooting and fault finding.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, drawings, and bills of materials in line with company procedures.
  • Provide occasional on-site support for installation and maintenance.

 What you’ll bring:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in electronics or related discipline.
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (essential).
  • Broad analogue and digital electronics design experience, including:
    • Low-noise power supply and distribution
    • Analogue signal conditioning
    • Data acquisition systems
    • FPGA-based control
    • EMC-compliant design
  • Proven track record in the full electronics product lifecycle: specification, circuit design, validation, compliance, and formal acceptance.
  • Experience with ECAD tools (Cadence OrCAD desirable).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to fault find to component level.
