Role Overview :
To deliver high quality teaching learning and assessment that complies with the quality standards of the service. Course delivery will include a range of accredited and non-accredited Skills for Work and ESOL Skills for Life vocational and non-vocational courses. Course levels are pre-entry to Level 1.
Key Responsibilities:
- To prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and relevant resources for accredited and non-accredited course/s.
- To complete all appropriate administrative tasks, including completion of registers, learner agreement forms, risk assessments and records in line with Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA).
- To assess and mark learners’ work as appropriate to the standards of the qualification.
- Provide individual / group ongoing assessment to support learning in order to ensure achievement and progression.
- To ensure that individual learner needs are met and progress is monitored and recorded and is reflected in lesson planning.
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
- Relevant subject qualification at level 3 or equivalent
- Teaching qualification
- Excellent organisational skills to deliver teaching and learning online and face to face within the Post 19 sector; with practitioner experience in the ESOL curriculum area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work alongside the learner and Curriculum Teams
