We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our Operations Department.

Main Responsibilities

To contribute to the growth and success of the Company through building and leading the warehouse team, being accountable for ensuring key KPI\’s/quality parameters are executed and completed in a timely manner along with participation in both the hiring and performance management processes. To manage and maintain the warehouse, bringing significant business improvements, alongside training and identifying development needs. Tasks change frequently to satisfy ever-changing demands, requiring a demonstration of significant versatility and a flair for adaptability. In addition to this, a positive response to pressure is essential in a fast-paced, dynamic and varied working environment.

  • Manage and lead the warehouse team to achieve and maintain agreed service level targets by ensuring adequate numbers of trained and qualified staff are available.
  • Lead, motivate and coach all members of the team to ensure maximum performance.
  • Ensure purchase orders are booked in, within the agreed timescales, ensuring sufficient resource to conduct these tasks.
  • Maintain the wholesale process, ensuring orders are raised, picked, and dispatched accurately.
  • Ensure stock control is maintained in line with company requirements and all discrepancies are investigated.
  • Assist in the recruitment of warehouse colleagues according to agreed standards to maintain appropriate staffing levels and high-quality service.
  • Provide necessary training and motivation to develop a team capable of delivering exceptional service.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback, addressing underperformance through the application of Performance Management processes to ensure optimal service levels.
  • Conduct and follow up on quarterly appraisals to implement key development plans that benefit both the business and the individual.
  • Complete Training Needs Analysis, identifying colleagues for further development as part of succession planning.
  • Support the Site Operations Manager and assistant managers by helping manage daily workloads and ensuring fair workload distribution.
  • Re-prioritise workloads as needed to meet departmental and team service levels.
  • Ensure Health and Safety procedures are followed on-site.
  • Conduct regular mandatory health and safety testing as required by the business.
  • Take responsibility for the standards of training, compliance with training requirements, and maintenance of training records for all dispensary colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with KPI targets set for the department.
  • Oversee the timely processing and dispatch of all orders.
  • Monitor real-time prescription workflows and take action to maintain target service levels.
  • Plan and allocate breaks, holidays, and training sessions for the team within set parameters to maintain adequate staffing levels.

Conduct return-to-work interviews and disciplinary investigations as required.

  • Adhere to all HR policies, procedures, and security protocols to safeguard company and customer property and ensure compliance with all statutory and company regulations.
  • Support investigations and responses to complaints relating to the dispensary team.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve issues related to the warehouse team.
  • Capture, record, and resolve customer complaints relating to all aspects of the business in a professional manner.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes within the team.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at delivering future improvements to HealthNet\’s service offering .

What experience and skills are we looking for?

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of 12 months\’ experience in a pharmacy environment at a supervisory level
  • Proven track record of achieving activity targets
  • Qualification in Supply Chain management (Level 3)
