Work Pattern: Three 10-hour shifts per week

Could you be part of our team?

Assist Chefs in planning and providing high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to Residents\’ dietary needs. Take responsibility for daily cleaning tasks and maintaining the kitchen\’s cleanliness.

Primary responsibilities of the Kitchen Assistant:

  • Ensure all food meets Food Hygiene Standards and safe work practices are followed, complying with relevant legislation including the Food Safety Act 1990, Food Premises Regulations 1991, and related regulations.
  • Maintain and operate kitchen equipment and facilities according to statutory and company standards, reporting any defects.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions. Use safe methods of work at all times, ensuring no unauthorized operation of machinery.
  • Manage stock and supplies, ensuring proper labeling and stock rotation, and keep accurate records such as fridge temperature checks.
  • Show courtesy and respect to residents and their families at all times.
  • Adhere to the kitchen cleaning rota, including washing up and storing utensils and equipment to standard.
