As a Fleet Controller, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of vehicle maintenance, ensuring that any breakdowns, defects, or repairs are handled promptly and with attention to detail. You will work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with various teams to ensure that vehicles are returned to service quickly with minimal disruption to customers. You must be able to manage your own workload, working under pressure and maintaining high standards of service. Key Responsibilities: * Record and track defects, breakdowns, and repairs in the SQL system, ensuring accurate and timely updates. * Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the correct parties are dispatched for breakdowns and defects, ensuring compliance with warranty, R&M, and contract maintenance guidelines. * Oversee repairs and ensure they are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner, keeping customers informed throughout the process. * Accurately challenge and check costs, sourcing cost-effective parts where necessary. * Proactively manage the customer\’s fleet in partnership with operational teams, minimizing Vehicle Off Road (VOR) incidents. * Liaise with suppliers to resolve maintenance issues, ensuring correct diagnosis and managing repair time and costs. * Maintain excellent communication with customers, providing updates on repair progress, costs, and vehicle downtime. * Manage customer queries and escalate issues when necessary, ensuring a satisfactory resolution. * Collaborate with the wider team to improve processes and resolve communication challenges. Person Specification: Skills: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong telephone-based customer service skills. * Excellent time management and organizational skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic IT systems. * Sound financial comprehension and ability to manage costs.
