The role:

As an Export Coordinator, you will help drive our goals by:

  • To arrange for the safe and secure transport of all shipments (UK and International) with appropriate approved freight forwarders or carriers
  • To arrange for the safe and secure collection of refining materials from our customers for delivery to the appropriate site
  • Ensuring shipments are processed in a timely manner to meet customer required delivery dates
  • Liaise with carriers / forwarders on issues of reported delays, losses or damage to any Johnson Matthey shipments and advise internal customers
  • Provide advice and guidance to sales and customer service teams on the cost and risk implications of alternative shipping methods (Road, Sea, Air) INCO terms

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

  • A willingness to learn and have an awareness of business and commercial issues
  • Good working knowledge of export operations including documentation requirements
  • Knowledge/understanding of international regulation for carriage of hazardous material
  • Previous experience shipping Dangerous goods by Air, Road and Sea
