Extra Recruitment are currently recruitment for a Transport Controller for one of our clients based in Birmingham. As a Transport Controller you’ll be responsible for the planning and liaising with transport firms, while developing and nurturing long term relationships with existing and prospective haulage firms. Transport Controller Responsibilities: Transport planning and liaising with transport firms Procurement and commercial negotiation Monitoring carriers' performance and evaluating their efficiency Follow transport purchase process for cost and budget control Understand and arrange any international transport requirements Transport Controller Details: Schedule: 8.30am – 5.00pm Location: Quinton, Birmingham Salary: Up to £35,000 PA Transport Controller Requirements: Prior experience as a transport coordinator/management or a similar role Be efficient, organised with the ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure. Prior experience in budget preparation or cost control. A full clean driving licence.
