As a Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining automated systems and equipment, including both in-house and third-party products. This includes performing planned maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance site performance. Key Responsibilities: * Support the delivery of contractual KPIs. * Perform electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs. * Conduct reactive and preventive maintenance on automated systems and third-party equipment. * Ensure automation operates at peak efficiency to prevent disruptions to customer operations. * Provide updates during customer meetings regarding system performance. * Identify and implement continuous improvement measures to enhance reliability. * Conduct root cause analysis on breakdowns and automation issues. * Coordinate planned preventive maintenance activities with the customer. * Offer mentorship, training, and guidance on best engineering practices. * Manage automation breakdowns and escalate issues as necessary. * Adhere to all current and future health and safety regulations. Requirements: * Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. * Previous experience in an operational engineering role within a similar environment. * Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach. * Ability to work effectively in time-sensitive situations. * Willingness to work flexible shifts. * Strong problem-solving abilities. * Preferred experience with Warehouse Management Systems
