Job Description Business Development Manager – Commercial Sales * To identify and build relationships with new and potential new customers * To achieve the company objectives set out by the Managing Director Main Duties and Responsibilities * Act as corporate champion for new, potential and existing customers * Ascertain and investigate new routes to market for existing products * Identify new customer base who will suit our product portfoilio. * Build good relationships with all consultant engineers, mechanical contractors, local authorities, design & build contractors and merchant groups as well as any other customer channels within your geographical area * In conjunction with the technical team when required develop specifications for products that offer a technical solution for the application. * Identify and target specifiers that can build your business in the medium to long term and mechanical contractors and merchant teams that can help build your business in the short term. * Attend site visits with customers to offer product solutions and advice. * Prepare quotations to be sent to the customer from our online portal. * Monitor and convert your quotation/project pipeline in line with company objectives. * Identify and gain specification across the full range of products. * Build relations with Merchant sales and estimating teams. * Organise and deliver tailor made product and service presentations and CPD’s on request. * Share market intelligence with head office and your colleagues * Assist with setting up and attending exhibitions as required. * Updating CRM and quotation system with customer reports and new contacts as well as existing contacts. Qualifications, Skills & Experience * Minimum 5 years sales experience in particular the Commercial Heating industry. * Experience within the specification market. * Broadly conversant with current installation regulations and working practices within the commercial heating sector. * Ability to self-motivate to achieve and exceed targets, maintaining professional standards of behaviour and attitude, as well as keeping order and discipline. * Good working knowledge of the commercial heating industry
