We are seeking a proficient Pit Top / Slinger Signaller in Suffolk, who is experienced in working closely with crane supervisors and operators to oversee and guide lifting operations from the pit top. The role demands constant communication with the pit bottom to ensure safe lifting practices, preventing any personnel from entering beneath suspended loads. Responsibilities: – Supervise and maintain safe pit bottom operations, ensuring compliance with BS6164, legislation, and company policy. – Understand and communicate approved lift plans, ensuring only briefed lifts are undertaken and all lifting equipment is used safely. – Identify potential hazards, communicate with crane operators, and halt operations if conditions are unsafe, maintaining good working relationships with clients and team members.
