Role Description
This is a contracter role for a Senior Designer. The Senior Designer will be responsible for creating visual concepts, designing pages and pictures for the magazine. Work days are Thursday and Friday 10-6pm. Fee Β£300 for the right person.
Tasks include collaborating with the editorial team, conducting design research, and participating in brainstorming sessions. The position is based in an office in the city centre of Glasgow with some work-from-home options available.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Experience in creating visual concepts and marketing materials
- Excellent layout and typography skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with subs and reporters
- Good communication and project management skills
- Knowledge of design trends and ability to conduct design research
- Flexibility and adaptability in a hybrid working environment
- Bachelor\’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field
- Prior experience in a similar senior-level design role is preferred
